honestly i can't relate to some of this cuz i always played java in 2012, all the way until now. the stuff like the other players was basically skype calls (for those who didn't experience this time period on java), but only one person could share their screen. some updates there was bugs to where multiple people could, but then it would be quickly patched at some point.

You want to make it even scarier first you should change the block and item textures as well make them fit with the atmosphere, next you got to add some more mods like Fresh Animations, Cave Dweller Sound Overhaul, Horror Elements, Scary Mobs and Bosses, Mutationcraft, Manic, The Man from the Fog, True Darkness, The Grue and Spelunker’s Charm II they should all help with making Minecraft a straight up nightmare that your friend will hate you for making though I would also recommend getting a mod that gives you more heartsso you can at least experience some of it without immediately dying
